Aduana FC have eliminated holders Asante Kotoko from the MTN FA Cup via penalty shootouts after a goalless stalemate in regulation at the Baba Yara Stadium to advance to the quarter-final.

The Fire Boys looked very determined right from the start of the competition having stated emphatically clear that this is the competition they are looking forward to win season.

Edging out the reigning champions away from home signifies indeed how Cioaba Aristica and his men really meant their target and will now be highly motivated to go all out for the ultimate.

Asante Kotoko had an earlier opportunity to go in front from spot-kick but skipper Samba O’Neil unfortunately had his penalty saved by goalkeeper Osei Prince in just six minutes from kickoff.

In the second half, both teams continued to mount pressure on each other in search of the precious goal - the only missing in such an exciting game at that point.

There was a huge penalty call from Aduana FC also after former Black Starlets captain Benjamin Tsivanyo appeared to have been clipped down in the box but referee Maxwel Owusu thought otherwise and waved play on as it finished with no goal in regulation time.

Prince Osei once again lived up to expectation with another two penalty saves in the shootouts aa Aduana FC won 4-2 in the end to advance into last eight of the competition.
