Asante Kotoko unlike previous seasons will hope to excel in the FA Cup this time when they clash with lower-division side Benab FC in round 32 on Saturday night at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors have been really appaling in recent years in the league cup, having failed to reach the semi final in the previous two seasons, with their last triumph happening against eternal rivals Hearts of Oak in 2017.
On the opposition end, Benab FC will definitely set sights on nothing but an upset tonight as they look to at least make the last four- a substantive aim affirmed by their head coach Abu Adams in an interview with Kickgh.com.
Currently touted as the 'Draw Masters', Kotoko have shared spoils in their last four matches and the just recent one happened against GoldStars in Bibiani last Monday, leaving them 3rd on the GPL log with 21 points after 13 matches.
In the FA Cup, the 'Kum Apem' lads nearly gave away a two goal lead to Bechem United but managed to qualify with a 4-2 victory via penalties after the game had finished 2-2 in regulation time.
On the other hand, the 'Everything by God' outfit have been very impressive in the competition right from the preliminary stage where they humbled New Edubiase FC by 1-0 before recording a 4-2 on penalties win over Soccer 4 Souls FC in the round of 64.
In zone 5 of the ongoing Ashanti Regional Division Two Championship, they are unbeaten after six matches, having recorded four wins and two draws and are currently leading the log with 14 points.

Benab FC will miss three players; some have left for a trials outside the country whiles others are injured.
However, coach Seydou Zerbo's situation is different heading into this game as he's been handed a major boost with the return of Clinton Opoku and Solomon Sarfo Taylor while Isaac Oppong, Samuel Appiah, Nicholas Mensah and Charles Owusu have been ruled out of the game due to injuries.
