Aduana Stars will play at home for the first time this season in the league cup when they host giants Asante Kotoko at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium- the top liner for round 16 of the MTN FA Cup

The Porcupine Warriors last success in the competition was in 2017 when they humbled eternal rivals Hearts of Oak in Tamale and will hope to end that almost six year abeyance this time.

Aduana Stars however, are yet to have their hands gripped on the league cup despite winning two titles since gaining promotion into the country's topflight.

The 'Ogya' lads recorded a 0-2 win over Unity in round 64 before edging out Bofoakwa Tano in a five goal thriller (2-3) to cruise into the final 16.

Their last competitive fixture was against Hearts of Oak in the capital- where they humbled them by 0-2, thanks to a brace from Isaac Mintah to extend their lead at the summit.

On the opposition end, Asante Kotoko were handed a very tough tie in the first round of the league cup but managed to sail through with 4-2 on penalties win over Bechem United.

Maxwell Agyemang's last gasp goal powered them to another hard fought 2-1 win over lower division side Benab FC in round 32.
