Legon Cities have progressed to the next round of the FA Cup after pipping Accra Lions in the round of 64 at the Dawu Park.

The Royals have booked themselves a place in the FA Cup round of 32 after recording a 1-0 win over Accra Lions on Saturday afternoon.

 
Legon Cities enjoyed majority of the game possession in the first half with some goal glaring opportunities but none of their efforts earned them the opener.
 
After lack of goals in the first half, Rahman Abdul brilliantly snatched the opener for Legon Cities after making a good use of Alex Aso's pass on the 51st minute of the game.
 
Rahman Abdul's strike before the hour-mark was the only goal recorded in the fixture which ensured Legon Cities a spot in the FA Cup round of 32.
 
Midfielder Michel Otou was adjudged the man of the match.
 
Elsewhere, Bofoakwa Tano and Heart of Lions have secured tickets for the FA Cup round of 32 after defeating Kassena Nankana United and Unity Stars FC respectively.
 
Akosombo based Krystal Palace also eliminated former Ghana Premier League campaigners Okwahu United in the round of 64 via a penalty shootouts. Palace crashed out Okwahu United 4-3 on penalties after the entire duration of the game had ended in a 1-1 draw at the Akotex Park.
