Frederick Akatuk was named man of the match after a sweet first half hatrick in his league debut for Benab FC in their huge victory over Excel FC at the Atonsu Astro Turf earlier today.
The 'Everything by God' outfit mauled Excel FC by an emphatic 7-1 in match-day 7 of the 2022/23 Ashanti Regional second division Championship.
It was the perfect way to respond to a very painful loss to the Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko last Friday to bow out of the MTN FA Cup.
After assisting Umar Mohammed against the giants, Frederick Akatuk made his first league appearance today for Benab FC and took him only 42 minutes to complete a hatrick to spur them to that sweet triumph.
Their other scorers were Umar Mohammed, Enoch and Eugene Ampofo.
The stupendous display earned Akatuk, 20, the man of the match accolade and will hope to replicate similar performances in their subsequent matches.
Benab FC are still unbeaten in the league and are currently sitting at the top of the Division Two Zone 5 standing with 17 points after 7 games.
