The Ghana Football Association Executive Council will meet today, November 27, to mainly review the performance of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and to finally decide on whether to maintain him or not.

The 49-year-old is reported to have submitted his technical report to the Ghana FA recently after the country's inability to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations - first time missing out since 2004.

The four-time African champions for the first time completed an AFCON qualifiers campaign without a win having finished at the bottom of Group F with just three points; culminated from three loses and three draws in six matches.

The team's abysmal display has called for a huge backlash from the local football faithfuls who are seriously calling for the jettisoning of the former Borussia Dortmund trainer.

However, the GFA's Executive Council will today, take a thorough appraisal into the report submitted by coach Otto Addo where they get to review his performance since taking over to make a decision as to whether they maintain him or not. Official statement reads;

“The Executive Council will meet the Head Coach of the Black Stars, Mr. Otto Addo, on the 27th of November, 2024, to discuss his technical report on the just-ended AFCON qualifiers and the overall performance of the technical team since assuming duty earlier this year,” the statement read.

Already, the Management Committee of the Black Stars has been dissolved last week with subsequent decisions to be made subsequently especially after the team's 2025 AFCON qualification failure.

The GFA have enough time to make some key decisions to help lift the team back up before they regroup again in March next year to play Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
