As reported by Atsu Tamakloe of Asaase Radio, the Ghana Football Association has made a definitive decision regarding the future of Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton.

The resolution is to terminate his contract during Friday's Exco meeting, pending government approval for compensation.

The confirmation or rejection of this approval is expected to be communicated today, Thursday. Despite Hughton's contract extending until February 2024, insider information suggests he is already aware of the impending decision.

The GFA leadership is skeptical about Hughton's ability to secure victories in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Madagascar and Comoros, considering them crucial for qualification in 2026.

Notably, they express that if the concern were limited to AFCON, Hughton would have remained in charge.

In the event of the decision's finalization, Assistant coach George Boateng is poised to assume temporary charge.
