The Black Stars of Ghana squad list for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers is expected to be announced soon.
Under the guidance of coach Otto Addo, the Ghana senior national team is focused on securing a spot in the continental showpiece as they will clash with Chad and Madagascar.
The Black Stars will face Les Sao of Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, at 19:00 GMT before flying out to Morocco to slug-it-out with Madagascar at the Grand Stade d'Al Hoceima on March 24.
As the games approach, a large part of the conversation has centred around the composition of the Ghanaian squad for these defining games.
With the squad announcement expected in the coming weeks, former Ghana international' Godwin Attram has urged Otto Addo not to retain a core group of players who were part of the squad that failed to qualify the team to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Attram further went ahead to state that as Otto Addo has learned from his mistakes, he should introduce a few fresh call-ups, the majority of who have been deemed as the best players.
"It's something we all have been thinking about why Black Stars can't perform recently, but I think for now coach Otto Addo has learned from his previous mistakes this time," he told Takoradi based Oli City Radio.
"The upcoming matches are not easy games for us, Otto Addo has to assemble the best players for the games because Ghanaians want to go to the World Cup."
