The Ghana international has been linked away from the Dade lads but the Communications Director of Hearts of Oak has put the speculation bed.

Larbi Opare Addo has debunked the rumour making rounds that the Phobians have signed Olympics forward Maxwell Abbey Quaye.

Opare Addo stated categorically in an interview with the Ghanaian Times that the “players that the club have acquired in this transfer window do not include any player from Great Olympics.”

The new arrivals at the club, he mentioned, included Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba, Eric Ofori Antwi, Zakari Yakubu, Wisdom Bumekpor, Eric Esso, Prince Nana Kwesi Darmang and Central African Republic striker Yassan Ouatching.

It was rumored on transfer deadline day that the Great Olympics top marksman has signed a three-year contract with the Phobians following the expiration of his contract with the Rosalinda club.

Quaye scored 19 goals in 51 appearances for Great Olympics in his two year stint, earning a call-up to the Black Stars and a spot for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) earlier this year in Cameroon.
