Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have touched down in Mali for their CAF Confederations Cup game against Real Bamako this weekend.

The Phobians had a walkover in the first preliminary round and are currently coming up against the Black and Whites in the second phase after edging out Burkinabe side AS Douanes.

David Ocloo was named the club's stop-gap coach following the sacking of Samuel Boadu and his technical team after Hearts of Oak's winless start in the Ghana Premier League.

Central African Republic international Yassan Ouatching has recovered from his injury to be part of the traveling squad while Salifu Ibrahim sits after failing to pass a late fitness test. Mercurial midfielder Eric Esso has also been ruled out of the trip.

Hearts of Oak left the shores of Ghana this morning, transit at Togo and have finally landed in Mali, currently heading towards their hotel.
