Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak are on the verge of announcing Erik Van Der Meer as replacement for Samuel Boadu.

 
Boadu was relieved from his role as the club's head coach on Tuesday after an emergency meeting in Accra on Tuesday morning.
 
The Hearts of Oak Board of Directors decided to terminate their contract with the former Medeama SC trainer following the club's recent poor performance in the Ghana Premier League.
 
Dutch coach Erik Van der Meer arrived in Ghana last week to conclude negotiations with Hearts of Oak for the coaching job.
 
Van der Meer was at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday to watch the club’s league game against Asante Kotoko which ended 1-1.
 
Hearts of Oak opened their 2022/23 season's campaign with a 1-0 defeat against Aduana Stars before sharing spoils in their home game against city rivals, Great Olympics before holding Asante Kotoko to a one-all draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
 
Hearts of Oak will hope to secure their first win of the campaign when they host Bibiani Gold Stars in the match-week four games at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
