West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has confirmed that Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus is ready to return to action after serving a five-game suspension.
The 23-year-old midfielder was handed the suspension in November following a red card incident and subsequent misconduct during West Ham’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the Hammers' Premier League clash against Leicester City, Lopetegui expressed satisfaction with Kudus' progress and readiness to rejoin the squad.
“Let’s see what’s going to happen with [Mohammed Kudus]. We’re not going to talk about the line-up. It’s true that he’s now available after being out for a long time, too. He’s ready, working well, and happy to be back, which is good news for us because we have a lot of upcoming matches in a row. It’s a good thing we have as many options as possible for these games,” Lopetegui stated.
West Ham United will face Leicester City on Tuesday, December 3, at the King Power Stadium, with kickoff set for 8:15 pm. Kudus, who has scored two goals in eight league appearances this season, will look to make an immediate impact as the Hammers aim to improve their form.
