Otto Addo has expressed his excitement on his second tenure as head coach of Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars.
Departing Borussia Dortmund at the close of the 2023/24 football season, Addo fully embraces his role leading the Black Stars.
In a press address in Ghana on Wednesday, May 29, Addo expressed his joy at returning home, acknowledging the intricate negotiations between the Football Association and Dortmund.
“I am happy and excited to be back but it was not easy. The FA had a lot of talks with Dortmund and I am back home,” coach Otto Addo said.
In addition to his return, Addo unveiled the squad for Ghana's upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
The journey begins with an away match against Mali on Tuesday, June 4, followed by a home fixture against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 10.
