FC Samartex defender, Isaac Afful has shared how happy he felt after scoring the only goal to give his side that precious win against Victoria United over the weekend in Accra.
The Timber Giants sealed the tie against the Cameroonian champions with another precious 1-0 win at the Ohene Gyan Stadium to cruise to the next preliminary round of the CAF Champions League with a 2-0 on aggregate win.
Isaac Afful, controlled a good ball on the left and made an explosive run into enemy territory and blasted into the roof of the net to snatch the lead in just seven minutes from kickoff.
Reacting to the goal, the enterprising lateral expressed elation as it is something he never saw coming and added his celebration alone explains how he felt at that moment.
"My happiness is so high. I am so excited. I have not even dreamed about it. You could see that when I scored the goal, I did not know what to do. It gave me so much happiness."
FC Samartex will face Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in the second preliminary round.
