Newly appointed Minister Designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has disclosed that he is a staunch fan of Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors are one of the biggest football clubs in Africa, with a stellar reputation in Ghana and the continent.

They have won the league a record 24 times and the CAF Champions League twice and were adjudged the African club of the century by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).

Asked about which club he supported growing up, Kofi Adams told Happy FM, “I support Asante Kotoko.”

Adams, 49, who hails from Teteman, a town in the Jasikan District in the Oti Region of Ghana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with emphasis on Epidemiology of Parasitic Diseases.

He will undergo parliamentary vetting and approval in the coming days. This may include developing policies, talent identification, foster holistic development and create opportunities for the youths, providing resources, and ensuring sustainable funding.
