The Black Stars of Ghana will face the Yanks of USA in their second international friendly at the Geodis Park in Nashville on the midnight of Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Both countries haven't really started off the second international window very well, having lost their matches over the weekend and will definitely hope for an improved performance this time.

The Black Stars last Sunday suffered an appalling 2-0 loss to Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium and hope to have themselves adequately prepared for upcoming assignments.

The game was really a close one and involved so much physicality most especially in the first phase but two second half goals from Hirvin Lozano and Uriel Antuna snatched the victory for the Tricolors.

However, the Stars and Strips scored first in their last game but ended up losing 1-3 on home soil to four-time world champions Germany during the weekend.

Christian Pulisic opened the scoring account but subsequent goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Niclas Füllkrug and Jamal Musiala propelled the Die Mannschaft to complete the comeback.

HEAD TO HEAD

There has been four meetings between the two nations- who have won two each with all four matches ending in a 2-1 scoreline.

The last meeting between USA and Ghana was in 2017 where the Yanks emerged victorious with a 2-1 triumph in Connecticut.

TEAM NEWS

Coach Chris Hughton has series of injuries at his disposal and will also miss the service of another center-back Joseph Aidoo who picked up an injury in the last game and was replaced with Alidu Seidu.

The four-time African champions arrived in Tennessee earlier on Monday to get themselves well prepared and poised for the game.

On the other hand, coach Gregg Berhalter has no any major casualties from their last game.
