Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Seydou Zerbo after the precious win over lower-division side Benab FC, has admitted it was a very difficult game and explained why they struggled throughout.
The Porcupine Warriors got themselves through to the round of 16 of the FA Cup after nipping on Maxwell Agyemang's late winner to record a 2-1 victory over the 'Everything by God' side.
The Ghanaian champions are hoping to make a good mark in the league cup this time following their embarrassing performance in the competition in the previous two campaigns.
The Burkinabé gaffer after the game, confessed he came up against a tougher opposition but added their struggle in the game was propelled by series of injuries at their disposal at the moment. He said;
"It was a very difficult game for us. I have about six players who ain't effective at their main positions so I had to make changes to raise a team for the game though they were training with us but injuries also affected our performance."
The 'Kum Apem' lads are currently sitting 3rd on the GPL log with 21 points and will face Kotoku Royals in matchday 14.
