Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has revealed how he's always loved the people of Kumasi and the atmosphere they always create for the senior national team.

The Black Stars last Thursday, exhibited a five-star performance to record a 1-2 comeback win over Mali in match-day 3 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Bamako.

Two second half goals from Ernest Nuamah and substitute Jordan Ayew were enough to hand Ghana their first away win in the qualifiers.

The four-time African champions are currently on the third position having tied with Comoros and first-placed Madagascar on six points each and a win in this fixture will send them to the top of Group I.

Speaking in the pre-match presser, the Borussia Dortmund trainer expressed huge satisfaction over how Kumasi fans always come in numbers to rally behind the team even if things ain't moving on well.

“I was really overwhelmed the last time we played in Kumasi at Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Even after poor AFCON. This is what makes me love Kumasi,”

“I love coming to Kumasi and it's what I expect. I'm very happy to play here and I know the fans will support us”

The team is currently back in the country and have already series of training sessions hoping to have themselves well prepared and gelled for the game.

Ghana will host Central African Republic on Monday, June 10, at the Baba Yara Stadium at 19:00GMT
