Head of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) at Asante Kotoko, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awuah, has emphasized the significant role Justice Blay plays at the club following his recent contract extension.

Blay, the experienced midfielder, committed his future to the Porcupine Warriors by signing a one-and-a-half-year deal on Thursday. Nana Apinkra described Blay as more than just a player, highlighting his leadership qualities and his embodiment of the club’s values.

“Justice is not just a player; he’s a leader and a symbol of what Kotoko stands for. We’re thrilled that he’s chosen to continue this journey with us,” Akwasi Awuah said.

The contract extension reaffirms Blay’s dedication to Kotoko’s success and his pivotal role in the team’s ambitions.

Known for his passion, leadership, and commanding presence in midfield, Blay has earned the respect and admiration of both teammates and fans. His journey with Kotoko began when he joined on loan from Medeama SC during the 2019/2020 season, quickly making an impact by scoring two goals in 12 appearances.

Blay’s strong performances earned him a permanent move to Kotoko in the 2021/2022 season, and he has since become a key figure in the squad with 56 league appearances.

This season, he has made 12 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, scoring one goal.
