Bank-roller of Division One side King Faisal FC, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah has strongly opposed the idea of introducing a third term for Ghana Football Association Presidents especially with Kurt Okraku still at post.

Normally, it is two terms of four years each for everyone that assumes the GFA Presidency role but will also have the opportunity to land a third term if it is approved by the football people.

Current GFA boss Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has been in charge since October 2019 and is now almost two years in his second term but will hope for an approval in order to go in for a third term, which has now divided opinions among Ghanaian football fans and also in the media.

Out-spoken football administrator Alhaji Grusah is the latest to speak on the issue of the third term and has strongly opposed that idea stating the current Ghana FA administration haven’t done anything to warrant that and should leave when their time is due.

He further accused them of match fixing stating that’s the only hallmark they can boast of since taking over and added they have destroyed the Ghanaian game completely. He said these in an interview with Kumasi-based Opemsuo Radio

“Kurt hasn’t done anything for Ghana football. Where are the U-17, U20 and U23s? RAG have denied supporting a third term for Kurt. Kotoko, Hearts are all not aware. The General Secretary is a blantant liar. None of the clubs has agreed, he just wants to scare the clubs. You will see what will happen.

“He told us he’s resigned from his role at Dreams FC but he is lying. We will not sit there for anyone to destroy Ghana football. He is not good, he just finish his third term and leave. He doesn’t deserve any third term.

“We did nothing at Cameroon and Cote D’Ivoire and now we couldn’t even make it to Morocco. He is just focusing on his personal pocket and not the way forward of Ghana football.

“Kurt’s administration is full of fixed matches, he can take me to court and I will provide evidence. I will not label false allegations on anyone because if I God, I will be punished by my creator. All I’m telling you right now is nothing but the truth.”

The next Ghana Football Association congress where the final decision on the possible third term will be made is slated for Monday, August 12, 2025
