Good news for Ghana as mercurial midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has been given the assurance of being fully fit for the crucial cliffhanger against Mozambique on Monday.

The 26-year-old has been really outstanding for the Black Stars in the ongoing 2023 AFCON but picked up a minor knock in the last game which finished in a thrilling stalemate against Egypt.

He tried staying up in the game but became worse at some point and was substituted on the 62nd minute and was replaced with Spanish-based midfielder Iddrisu Baba.

He's been assessed by the medical staff since and have confirmed the versatile middleman will be ready and available for selection for the next game which is a very huge boost for coach Chris Hughton.

The four-time champions need a win at all cost in this game to advance to the next round and any results aside that will see them exit the competition in the first round just like the last edition.

Ghana will take on the Mambas in their final group game on Monday, January 22, in Abidjan.
