Ghana has clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Angola in Group E of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, thanks to a late goal from striker Antoine Semenyo.
During the first half, both teams created goal-scoring opportunities, but neither managed to find the back of the net, with the visitors performing well and having more possession.
In the second half, Ghana threatened more and brought on substitutes Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Salis Samed, and Joseph Paintsil in the 68th minute.
Semenyo's last-minute goal, a powerful strike from close range, was enough to secure the win for the Black Stars, who bagged three points.
Next up for Ghana is a trip to Angola to face the same opponent on March 27th.
