Asante Kotoko's preparations towards the upcoming Democracy Cup is on and engaged themselves in a preparatory friendly this morning where they humbled lower-division side Cornerstones FC by 5-0 at the Adako-Jachie training ground.

The Porcupine Warriors were the dominant side throughout the game and nipped on goals from Justice Blay, Baba Yahaya, youngster Jordan Amissah, coupled with a brace from Bernard Somuah to seal a huge win.

Coach Prosper Narteh and his men will use this to test their strength and readiness ahead of the Democracy Cup game against eternal rivals Hearts of Oak this Friday.

The main reason behind this game is to celebrate thirty years of the country's legislature which was been in existence since 1993 and will feature the country's two most glamours football clubs.

The game is slated for Friday, July 5, at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in the capital, Accra. 

The winner will have the opportunity to play against Major League Soccer side DC United in Washington, USA.
