Coach Kim Lars Björkegren's first game as head coach of the Black Queens suffered a painful 1-0 loss to Morocco in what was a very exciting and entertaining international friendly at the Pére Jégo Stadium

The Swedish tactician named a very strong line up in his first game in charge starting Cynthia Findib in post, Portia Boakye skippered the side with Nina Norshie also retuning into the line up. Grace Asantewaa, Sherifa Sumaila, Doris Boaduwaa all made the cut.

The Black Queens started on a higher note and came very close to scoring in the seventh minute but Doris Boaduwaa's effort was checked.

The Moroccans were really on top subsequently having taken the game under their total and dictated the pace and passion.

The Atlas Lioness made series of incursions in the last fifteen minutes but a Cynthia Findib Konlan's heroics rescued the Black Queens from going down at half time.

Just five minutes into the second half, Cynthia Findib again stretched to her limit to pull off a great stop to ensure Ghana doesn't concede in the early stages.

In the space of two minutes, Doris Boaduwaa and Sherifatu Sumaila all made attempts to score with the latter's own looking very easy to score than to miss but couldn't get the Queens the opener.

In the dying embers of the game, Sakina Ouzraoui Diki scored a heartbreaking goal in the 91st minute for the Atlas Lioness as it inished 1-0 after full time.

Coach Kim Lars Björkegren tastes first defeat in his first game in charge but will hope to right all wrongs going forward.
