The Black Queens have advanced to the second round of the 2024 Olympics Games qualifiers after resounding victory over Guinea.

Ghana progressed to the next round of the qualification for the Olympics Games on a 7-0 aggregate against their Guinean counterparts in the two-legged fixture.

The Black Queens extended their unbeaten streak under Coach Nora Häuptle with a 4-0 home win over the Guineans in the second leg game at the Accra Sports Stadium. The first leg staged in Conakry last weekend ended in a 3-0 win for Ghana.

Ghana commenced the game on a good note with an intense pressure on the back line of the Guineans but they failed to make the early incursions count as Evelyn Badu and Vivian Adjei Konadu missed golden opportunities on the 7th and 16th minute respectively.

The female senior national team of Ghana could have notched up more goals before the half-hour mark but Guinean goalkeeper Mawa Traore denied them with brilliant saves.

With just ten minutes to end the first half, Evelyn Badu brilliantly opened the scoring for the Black Queens after a solo run on the flanks.

Coach Nora Häuptle's charges exercised their muscles in the second half to register three goals to secure a convincing home victory over Guinea.

On the 52nd minute, Priscilla Adubea doubled the score for Ghana before Badu extended the lead to 3-0 from a close range in the 59th minute of the game.

Hasaacas Ladies youngster Fridaus Yakubu completed Black Queens' emphatic win over Guinea with her strike on the 85th minute minute to extend their unbeaten run under Coach Nora Hauptle.

Ghana will face either Benin or Guinea Bissau in the next round of the 2024 Olympics Games qualifiers.
