Close friend of Christian Atsu has provided an update on the search of the Ghana international after the devastating earthquake incident in Turkey.
Atsu was a victim of the strong tragic earthquake that hit Turkey two days ago and is still yet to be found after reports earlier yesterday stated he's been seen and is currently at the hospital for treatment.
It was speculated on Tuesday morning that, he has finally been found alive by the rescue team and was pulled out of wreckage just this morning, reported by Turkey journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
Several reports on Monday evening claimed Atsu, who was reportedly missing alongside Hatayspor sporting director Taner Savut, had been found alive, with Portuguese outlet A Bola saying he had suffered “injuries to his right foot and breathing difficulties”.
His Black Stars teammate, Mubarak Wakaso has issued a statement on his social media accounts urging the media to desist from unsubstantiated reportage because of the family of former Chelsea and Newcastle United attacker.
