Aggrieved Annor Walker is very disappointed following the Black Galaxies painful loss to Madagascar in their opening game of the 2022 African Nations Championship last Sunday night in Constantine, Algeria.
Goals from Solomampionona and Tokinantenaina Tsiry powered the Bareas to a crucial 2-1 win over Ghana with substitute Augustine Agyapong getting the equaliser.
Reacting to the defeat, the experience gaffer wasn't impressed and happy with the outcome but assured Ghanaians of a comeback in their next game and is still optimistic of qualification.
“I think my boys disappointed me in the first half and I take it as one of those things that happen in football. We were well prepared for this game, but minor mistakes cost us the game,” Annor Walker said after the game
“Such things happen in football. It happens in competitions where big teams lose their opening games. We may have lost but we are certainly not out of the competition yet."
The Black Galaxies will face Sudan in their next group game on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
