President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has expressed his frustration over Ghana’s 1-1 draw against Niger in their recent 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier, claiming that some players in Niger’s squad wouldn't even make his club's lineup.

In a stern address to the Black Stars on October 8, Okraku criticized the team’s lack of energy and passion during the match, which followed a disappointing 1-0 loss to Angola in their opening game of the qualifiers.

"Four or five of the players in that [Niger] squad cannot play in my club. That is the truth. But Ghana played 1-1 against Niger," Okraku said, voicing his dissatisfaction with the performance and the result.

"What did we see? We saw a Black Stars team without energy, without passion, [and] without the desire to play. It's not possible like this," he added.

The Black Stars are now preparing for a crucial doubleheader against Sudan, with the first leg set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, before heading to Libya for the return fixture on October 15.
