Ghana Football Association's Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum believes that no new player can break into the squad ahead of the World Cup.

Ghana have been drawn with Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal in group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana were battered by Brazil by 3:0 in a Pre-World Cup friendly at the Stade de Oceane in Le Havre, France.

Marquinhos opened the scoring for the Selecão, before Richarlison completed the riot with a double in the first half of the game.

The Black Stars will face Nicaragua in another international friendly in Lorca, Spain on Tuesday.

Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu made their debuts for Ghana after coming on in the second half.

Henry Asante Twum insists that it will be difficult for any new player to break into the current squad.

"As things stand, I can confidently say no. We've gone through a long journey with the qualifications and have tested the players. I'm sure your question has to do with bringing in some of the players whose names have popped up, but as things stand, I don't think that is likely to happen," he told SVTV.

"I wouldn't say when a player is doing well in Europe or the domestic front, he wouldn't be given the chance. I'm not in a position to say that. Anything is possible," he added.
