Former AshantiGold SC gaffer, Thomas Duah has disclosed categorically clear that, there is nobody who can build or improve this Black Stars squad- premising his comments on the poor of of selection of players to the senior national team.
Duah, hasn't been active in the game in recent times following the demotion of AshantiGold SC into the second division and also been axed from the Ghanaian game completely.
The ex- Ghana international wasn't impressed with the Black Stars performance against Madagascar last Sunday and has stated until call ups are made on merit, no coach can improve the senior national team and get them back into continental giants like they use to be.
"Nobody can build the Black Stars; anyone who claims otherwise is a liar. We’re only practising ‘trying your luck’ and nothing else. Listen, the system for inviting players is flawed, and it is causing our national teams to fail," he said on Rainbow Radio.
“How do you build a team by bringing in different players for different games, and how do you find cohesion and understanding?”
"We don’t put together teams like that. Look, there are five or four Bayern Munich club players in the German national team, and there are more than five Barcelona players in the Spanish national team, so there is always telepathy.”
Ghana hasn't secured qualification to the 2023 AFCON yet despite leading Group E and will have to avoid a defeat against Central African Republic in their final game to qualify.
