Division One League side King Faisal FC have named experienced gaffer Prince Acheampong as their new head coach in the ongoing 2024/25 football season.

He comes in highly-recommended and as replacement for Barnabas Awuni who got jettisoned weeks ago in what is mainly described as poor performance having set off to a very sloppy start.

The 'Insha Allah' lads are currently on a very appalling run having lost their last four league matches; boasting of only two wins so far, drawing five with four loses and are currently sitting just two places above relegation territory in the zone 2 log.

With this embarrassing performance, the club deemed it fit to make some changes to their technical team as they look to patch up all cracks and return on track as quick as possible.

Famously referred to as 'Tactical Sabuto', he's garnered wealth of experience for the past years having previously served as assistant coach to the Green and Whites and is expected to bring in some tactical stability to help the team rise again as they seek nothing but promotion back into the topflight.

Prince Acheampong has also served as head coach of Quality FC and spent over a decade helping to hunt and nurture talents in grassroot football and also at high school level.

He guided Opoku Ware School (OWASS) to a third-place finish in the 2024 Ashanti Regional Inter-School and Colleges boys soccer competition.

His first test is against high-flying Berkwai Heroes this afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium.
