Alhaji Raji, a former chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has shown skepticism towards the capabilities of Black Stars coach Otto Addo.

Addo's second stint with the Black Stars has been filled with challenges, including Ghana’s failure to win a single game in the Afcon qualifiers, marking West African powerhouse' absence from the tournament since 2004.

Despite Ghana's failure to make the cut for the continental showpiece, it is expected that Addo will continue in his role as the Black Stars head coach.

However, Alhaji Raji, believes that the former Ghana international is unfit to lead the senior national team.

"Otto Addo is not up to the task as Black Stars coach but he still remains the coach. People around him should advise him.

“He is always demanding that the team should train behind closed doors, which does not work for me," Raji also condemned Addo’s technique ahead of matches.

In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Black Stars are second in Group I with nine points.

Ghana will now shift their focus to the mundial qualifiers, as they have a bigger task ahead against Chad and Madagascar in their next two games in the global showpiece qualifiers in March, 2025.
