Kenneth Asante, public relations officer of Hohoe United has revealed the team's outstanding performance in the Access Bank Division One League is due to their strong home fan base.
Asante believes it significantly contributed to the club's success and Ghana Premier League promotion, which provided them a vital advantage through morale and increased revenue.
He stated further that their passionate and supportive home crowd created a powerful atmosphere that pushed the players to perform at their best.
“We won some games on natural grass…so it’s about the determination of the team, it’s not about maybe the astro turf or the natural grass," Kenneth Asante told Citi Sports.
“The home always plays the advantage; the advantage is not only about the pitch but the number 12 player. The number 12 players are the fans of Hohoe United. Anytime we have a home game, the fans always turn up in their numbers."
On Sunday, Hohoe United won a 3-1 promotion-securing victory against Inter Allies in the Access Bank Division One League Zone Three, which they superbly did at their favorite Hohoe Stadium.
