Veteran football administrator Alhaji Karim Grusah has exposed shocking allegations of receiving death threats directed at him from individuals associated with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Grusah, the bankroller of King Faisal, disclosed that he has been targeted with threats following his participation in the #SaveGhanaFootball demonstration held on February 14, 2024, in Accra.
The demonstration, which garnered widespread support from Ghanaian football enthusiasts, aimed to advocate for significant reforms and restructuring within the Ghanaian football system.
During the demonstration, protestors voiced their concerns over the mismanagement and perceived corruption plaguing Ghanaian football, urging immediate action from authorities to address these issues. However, in the aftermath of the event, Grusah revealed chilling details of threats made against his life, allegedly originating from individuals within the GFA.
"People at the GFA have threatened to kill me all because I participated in the demonstration," Grusah revealed in a candid interview with Akoma FM, shedding light on the intimidation tactics employed against him.
Despite facing potential danger, Grusah remained resolute, asserting, "I am prepared to die, and they can kill me," underscoring his unwavering commitment to championing the cause for reform within Ghanaian football.
These troubling developments underscore the critical need for accountability and transparency within the GFA, as calls for reform continue to escalate amidst mounting tensions within the Ghanaian football community.
