Former Asante Kotoko gaffer, Prosper Narteh Ogum is set to be named as head coach of the Black Galaxies- an appointment which is expected right after the 2023 CHAN tournament.
The home-based national team finally ended the long standing hoodoo to qualify for the competition after coming off better over Benin and sworn rivals Nigeria in the qualifiers.
The 45 year old form part of the current technical team who immensely got the team thus far, led by Samartex FC head coach Annor Walker.
However, fresh speculations in the indigenous media is that, the ex- WAFA coach has been spoke to and will takeover the Galaxies on full basis after the tourney early next year.
The enterprising tactician has so much experience when it comes to our local having managed clubs like Ebusua Dwarfs, WAFA and just recently Asante Kotoko- who he led to their 24th league title last season.
The two-time CHAN finalists are currently in camp getting themselves prepared for the competition, having won their recent two friendlies and will clash with giants Hearts of Oak in a high-profile friendly in Prampram on Sunday.
The 40 provisional man list are expected to be trimmed down to the final squad very soon.
