Spokesperson of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, Asante Fokuo has reiterated that, the latter isn't joining Hearts of Oak anytime soon, as earlier speculated in the local media.
The 44 year old finished last season as a league winner with giants Asante Kotoko- who had gone almost eight year abeyance without the championship but resigned from his role after the season.
Just recently, Ogum was part of the Black Galaxies technical team and played a vital role in helping them qualify to the 2023 CHAN tourney, having missed out in the last three editions.
The ex- WAFA coach has strongly being linked to the Phobians coaching role which has been vacant for weeks now after the jettisoning of Samuel Boadu, and the appointment of his former assistant David Ocloo gave a strong hint of him switching over to the capital.
However, his mouthpiece Asante Fokuo in a video aired on Onua TV this morning, has debunked those rumours and deemed them only as palpable lies, having boldly confirmed that, Prosper Narteh won't join Hearts of Oak. He said;
"For now, coach Ogum wouldn't go to Hearts. He think the timing and atmosphere isn't good for him now. He is a professional coach and just left Kotoko so wouldn't want to join Hearts."
"There are lots of clubs in Africa that are chasing and will accept an offer at an appropriate time. He is now log heads with Alwasi Appiah and could handle one team in future."
