Former Ghana and Chelsea FC midfielder, Michael Essien per exclusive reports in the local media, has agreed to be part of the next Black Stars technical team.
Ghana has been without a substantive head coach since the jettisoning of Chris Hughton after pulling what is described as a disastrous campaign at the just-ended 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ghana FA since, have been on the lookout for a new coach and rumour has it that, Otto Addo is most likely to return to the job after leaving his role right after the 2022 World Cup.
Michael Essien, who has recently been linked to the assistant coach role, per rumours has agreed and is willing to work with Otto Addo to help turn the fortunes of the Black Stars.
Currently, the ex- Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder, is a UEFA A license holder and currently works with Danish giants FC Norsdjaelland as their assistant coach.
Other names to be part of the new Black Stars technical team are also former Ghanaian internationals; Adam Kwarasey as the goalkeeper's trainer and ex- Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan as the new Team Manager, per speculations.
