The moneybag of Young Apostles, Samuel Anim Addo has stressed that the club is putting the ongoing Division One League (DOL) Super Cup into good utilization as they prepare for the imminent 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Young Apostles recorded a 1-1 draw with Hohoe United in their opening match of the DOL Super Cup at the Nana Koronmansah Park in Nsoatre.
Apostles were ahead after 43 minutes when Akwasi Nti Randoff capitalized on a well-placed pass to hit home and ploy the 'Agya Na ƆwƆ Tumi' boys upfront. It was a clever finish from the former Techiman Heroes midfielder who possesses exceptional instincts inside the area.
Soon after as the game became tetchy, Kwadwo Boamah chopped-off YAPFC lead as he notched the sweet equalizer just before halftime.
"The result was a true reflection of the game; both teams did well. We, at Apostles, are using this competition for our preseason, and it has helped us," Anim Addo told Peace FM.
"It's a very good thing. We have seen our players who are good, and we have to pay more attention to them, they are very good," he added.
