Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif admits that the Black Stars squandered a lot of opportunities against Nicaragua.
He insisted that Ghanaians were expecting a lot of goals in the international friendly.
Ghana won by a-goal to nil against Nicaragua on Tuesday. Issahaku Abdul Fatawu scored a cracker to record the victory for Ghana.
Meanwhile, Ghana had lost to Brazil by 3:0 in France last week.
Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey and Mohammed Salisu all made their debuts against Brazil.
Ghana are in the same group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in the World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana have scheduled a friendly with Switzerland in November before the World Cup.
Mustapha Ussif says Ghanaians were expecting more goals against Nicaragua but the team couldn't deliver.
"We were expecting more goals in the game but at the end of the day we created a lot of chances but couldn't convert them into goals," he told Max TV.
