Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has stated with so much optimism that, Ghana is going to perform well in the next World Cup.

The 2022 Mundial is expected to be held in Qatar later this year, expected to start from November 21, to December 18, 2022.

The former Inter Milan midfield enforcer has really paid his dues to the senior national team, having featured in all our three World Cup appearances so far (2006, 2010 & 2014), scoring in all those competitions.

On GTVSports+ with veteran Kwabena Yeboah, the ex- Portsmouth star strongly believes Ghana will do well at the World Cup.

"I want to see Ghana go far in Qatar. I think with the inclusion of the new players, the technical team and things are put in place. We can really do well."

"2010 was great because it was a transition from the back, the young once had. Richard Kingston was like 50% of our team."

"I strongly believe Ghana will do well in the next World Cup since we have a super great team."

On the inclusion of new players to the Black Stars, the former Serie A winner is nothing new and started long ago, and recalled some of the players that joined the team during their time.

However, he cautioned them not to only naturalize because they will want to have the feel of the World Cup but should come in also with so much commitment to help the country. He said;

"When we were playing, some new players came in. It started long ago and isn't something new, Owusu Abeyie, Prince, Adomah and Kwarasey all came in during our time."

"I pray the other guys will also join but it shouldn't be like they are switching to only play at the World Cup. If you don't really commit yourself to the nation, you won't get to play because you are playing for everybody and everyone will be fighting for their position."
