Black Stars attacker Christian Atsu has urged the Ghana Football Association to honour Asamoah Gyan by taking him to the World Cup.

Asamoah Gyan has reiterated his desire to feature for Ghana at the mundial in Qatar.

Ghana is in the same group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The 36-year-old is the record goalscorer for the Black Stars with fifty-one goals.

Gyan hasn't played in competitive football since leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities after the 2020/21 season.

Ghanaian Legend Mohammed Polo says Asamoah Gyan should only be considered if he plays competitive football regularly, and insists that Ghanaians should be serious with football.

Christian Atsu believes that Ghana should honour Asamoah Gyan's last wish by sending him to the global showpiece later this year.

"Honour Asamoah Gyan with his last wish” he tweeted on his official page.
