The fourth edition of the Inter-Tribes Football Tournament has kicked off with a bang! The first round of group stage matches is complete—and it has already delivered drama, surprises, and plenty of goals.
Defending champions Zabarma began their title defense with a narrow 3-2 win over Gurunshi/Sissala in Group B, while last year’s runners-up Builsa edged Ewe 1-0 in Group A.
Perhaps the biggest upset came in Group C, where Buzaaye Tamacheq shocked former champions Moshie with a 2-1 victory.
Other notable wins came from Asante, Fante, and Mamprushi, all of whom made strong starts to their campaigns.
Across the 12 matches played so far, 23 goals were scored, 7 teams kept clean sheets, and fans were treated to 10 victories and 2 draws—setting the stage for a fiercely competitive tournament.

Awudu Mohammed’s brilliant strike gave Builsa a 1-0 win over Ewe, while the match between Yadega and Waala ended in a goalless stalemate.
