The Ghana Football Association has not made any approach to Tom Saintfiet over the vacant Black Stars coaching job, according to sources.
As people continue to guess who will replace Otto Addo, it is believed that Saintfiet is not being considered and is not on the current shortlist.
The Belgian coach, known for his work with several national teams across Africa, had been loosely linked with the role in recent days.
However, sources close to him say there have been no talks or discussions with the GFA regarding the position.
Instead, the Association is focusing on other candidates as it looks to appoint a new head coach ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The search has become more urgent following Ghana’s recent poor results against Austria and Germany, which led to Addo’s departure.
The GFA is believed to be targeting coaches with strong international experience and the ability to quickly bring a clear tactical identity to the team.
With limited time before the next phase of preparations, the decision is seen as crucial.
Although Saintfiet is still well respected in African football, he is not part of the GFA’s plans right now.
