Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has spoken highly of the Black Stars for their unending commitment and dedication for the country and added they are so special.
The second gentleman of the land, met with the team at the Lancaster hotel in Kumasi yesterday to have a long fruitful talks before they headed to the stadium for the game.
After making his speech, he donated a whooping amount of Ghc500,000 to the entire team to serve as motivation heading into the game against Central African Republic.
However, the Black Stars exhibited a stupendous performance to beat the Wild Beasts by 4-3 in match-day four of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Jordan Ayew scored a hat-trick coupled with another from Abdul Fatawu Issahaku- with three out of the four goals coming in the second half to record consecutive wins after winning at Mali last week.
Speaking to the team, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who will be vying for the Presidency in the upcoming General Elections in the ticket of the NPP, said he is very elated for the players' sacrifice anytime and added being selected to represent the country's 30 million population shows they are very special.
"We were so happy when you won in Mali. Let me say that I have the highest respect for what you do as footballers and what you do for this country."

Ghana are currently leading Group I with nine points after four matches and will host Chad next in the qualifiers on Monday, March 17, 2025.
