Ghanaian conquerors Ampem Darkoa Ladies are in the final of the ongoing WAFU Zone B Women's Champions League qualifiers after humbling their Beninese counterparts Sam Nelly FC by 6-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Monday evening.
The 'Nanamma' lass as always, started by posing so much pressure on their opponents and eventually got them the opener on the 1st minute through Tracey Twum whose effort was a beauty.
Ophelia Amponsah was very close to doubling the lead on the 10th minute but unluckily, her close range tap in missed the target by inches.
Just a minute on from missing that glorious opportunity, Tracey scored again with a brave header to double their lead.
On the 18th minute, the Ghanaian champions again, hit the back of the net to grab their third and who else? Mary Amponsah who connected a Nancy Amoh free kick to nick her eighth in competition.
Another headed goal from Ophelia Amponsah just on the stroke of half time for Ampem Darkoa to take a four-goal lead into the break.
Back from recess, Sam Nelly finally pulled one back just nine minutes from the break.
On the 63rd minute, the Blue and Whites restored their four goal lead minutes after with a long range beauty from enterprising Nancy Amoh before Tracey Twum also scored three minutes later to complete her hatrick and leave the score at 6-1 and that's how it ended.
They are now through to final and will face Nigerian side Delta Queens in the final and will have to win at all cost before they could book a spot in the third edition of the CAF Women Champions League.
