Management Committee Chairman of the Black Galaxies, Dr. Tony Aubynn has disclosed the player's readiness to qualify Ghana to the next CHAN tournament, having missed out in the last three editions.

The home-based national team completed a back to back over their Beninese counterparts in the first qualifying round to set up a cracker against arc rivals Nigeria. 

Dr. Tony Aubynn, has stated the players have been very committed and are eager and poised for the task ahead, having described them as the most disciplined side he's seen.
 
Also, the GFA Exco member added that, no winning bonus has been paid yet but are working tirelessly to sort those things out. He told Asempa FM in Accra; 
 
"We had a very good place for training in Austria, all the facilities were there. The pitch is grass and not Astro Turf, so with the training aspect we have done alot”
 
“Our coaches are also poised to qualify us for the CHAN”
 
“For the players, we have not seen such discipline players before. They’re very committed to their job. They are motivated to bring good results to Ghana." 
 
"Though the players have not received their winning bonuses but the authorities are working around to solve it”
 
“We know Nigerians are eager and hungry to eliminate us considering what we did to the Super Eagles in the FIFA World Cup but we are also poised." He concluded 
 
The 2009 CHAN finalists just returned from Austria after a short tour, where they lost 2-1 to Qatar in an international friendly.
 
They will host Nigeria this Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Cape Coast for the first leg.
