Asante Kotoko board member, Yaw Adu, says they don't interfere in the works of the management and technical team of the club.
Dr. Kwame Kyei led board appointed Nana Yaw Amponsah as the Chief Executive Officer for three years in 2020.
There were several reports of interference by some board members in the daily management activities, which caused cold blood between Nana Yaw Amponsah and the board.
However, Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier league with sixty-seven points in the just ended season but failed to progress past the record 32 of the MTN FA cup.
The club will be competing in the CAF inter-clubs competition next season after their league victory.
Yaw Adu insists that the board doesn't interfere in the daily activities of the club and emphasised that they only supervise the activities of the management.
"The board of directors is not responsible for the club's recruitment," he told Akoma FM.
"We only work upon the recommendations made by management concerning signings. So a decision on Mbella and others is the responsibility of management.
"We only sanction them if their decisions are spot on.
"We don't interfere in the work of management and the technical team," he insisted.
