Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton is expecting a very tough encounter against Egypt in the second round of matches on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
The team set off to a very poor start after succumbing to a painful 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde in their opening game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations over the weekend.
Ghana currently, are sitting at the foot of Group B with no point after the first round of matches and will need a win at all cost to cruise into the next round.
In a pre-match presser, the former Brighton gaffer has really appreciated the support the team had in their first game and added he is anticipating a competitive game against the Pharaohs.
"I also very much appreciate the level of support I have received, but in today's press conference, we are looking forward to the next game. I think that is something that is in the past, it's had a lot of media coverage and I thank everybody for their messages and messages of support," he said.
"We look forward to a very competitive game we have tomorrow," he added.
Ghana will face Egypt in the second round of matches on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium.
