Former Ghana international Charles Taylor has called for the urgent inclusion of midfielder Mubarak Wakaso in the Black Stars team following the team's difficult October international break, in which they suffered two defeats and conceded six goals.

Ghana faced a 2-0 loss to Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium last Saturday and experienced a heavy defeat against the USA at the Geodis Stadium on Wednesday.

Taylor, concerned about the Black Stars' recent unimpressive performance, has urged the return of Wakaso to the national team. He stated, "We need Mubarak Wakaso back in the team urgently," during an interview with Angel TV.

Taylor also stressed the importance of retaining Andre Ayew, even though he is currently without a club. He added, "Andre Ayew should always be part of the Black Stars whether he has a club or not."

Wakaso, aged 33, has scored 13 goals and registered eight assists in 70 appearances since his debut for the Ghanaian national team in 2012. However, he has been absent from the national squad for the past two years due to fitness-related concerns.

The midfielder currently plays for Chinese Super League outfit Shenzhen FC and has made nine appearances for the club this season.
