Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has confirmed that his team will undergo a significant transformation ahead of the new season, following the release of 18 players in the past 24 hours.
The Porcupine Warriors' boss has revealed that the club will be focusing on signing experienced Premier League players to strengthen the team.
Ogum spoke with the club's media team, stating that they will be reviewing their player recruitment, performance, and discipline to make informed decisions about new signings.
"What we have to do is to reflect on what went on in terms of player recruitment, in terms of player performance, in terms of player discipline," he said.
"We need to look at all these things which, of course, we have already done. We've had a series of meetings on this."
“We need to do a lot of structural changes in the playing body with respect to signing of some players to come to augment.”
The released players include key figures such as captain Ibrahim Danlad, George Mfegue, and Rocky Dwamena. The coach is determined to bring in proven talent to bolster the squad for the upcoming season.
